Prepared by undergraduate and graduate engineering degrees which focused in Transportation Engineering and Engineering Mechanics the practice of Accident Reconstruction was begun around 1983 in support of Dr. Walton. Completion of accident reconstruction projects for my testimony began in 1988. An estimated 750-900 crashes have been fully reconstructed in this time. Additionally, projects such as traffic safety studies have included the preliminary analysis of thousands of crashes for patterns in causation including driver, roadway and vehicle factors.

University Drive Widening Project, Plans and specifications were prepared for design of a 1.4 mile section of urban arterial FM highway including seal coat, new pavement, pavement overlays, drainage, horizontal and vertical alignment, FHWA Environmental Impact Assessment, safety considerations, lighting, traffic control plan, traffic signals, and client interface.
Greens Prairie Road, College Station, Texas. Plans and specifications were prepared for the design of 2 miles of F.M. standard roadway including pavement design options and roadway geometrics and a 100 foot bridge structure.
29th Street Widening Project, City of Bryan, Texas. A capital improvement widening project of two miles of a complex, fully developed major urban arterial. Responsibilities included horizontal and vertical control development, plan preparation, details, analysis of pavement defects and correction alternatives, drainage, lighting, specifications, traffic control plan and construction observation.
Sebesta Road Improvements Project, City of College Station, Texas. A capital improvement widening project of .8 miles of urban collector converting an existing open ditch section to curb & gutter drainage. Restricted right-of-way, utilities conflicts, drainage, lighting, construction easements and traffic control requirements were issues resolved.
Graham Road Rehabilitation Project, City of College Station, Texas. A capital improvement project including widening and base crown revision of a 1.4 mile arterial street. Project involved conversion from open ditches to curb and gutter drainage, major drainage improvements, construction zone traffic management, street lighting, and all phases of design development, design drawings and construction observation and oversight.
Traffic Safety Study - New Jersey Turnpike Authority. A comprehensive statistical analysis of the effects of billboards on driver safety on 106 miles of the New Jersey Turnpike. Study included analysis of more than 9000 accident reports for cause and effect relationships with billboard locations, driver distraction, and distraction induced accidents. Accident rates for before and after billboard construction were compared.
Traffic Signal Design - Stephenville, Tx. Plans and specifications for a complete signal installation were developed and coordinated with a commercial development project. Approval from TxDOT for the plans and specifications was obtained and the signal was constructed.
Speed Zone Studies - Interstate 45 Frontage Roads - Conducted required engineering studies for determination of appropriate speed zones and signing for four counties in District 17.
Bryan Business Park, Bryan, Texas, Phase II. The 137 acre Phase II design responsibilities included preliminary and final platting, presentations to Planning Commission, detailed design, pavement design, plan and specification preparation for street and drainage improvements, railroad crossings, traffic control plans, lighting, and water and sewer improvements totaling over $1.7 Million, construction inspection for those improvements, and contract administration.
Shirewood Subdivision, A Planned Unit Development, Bryan, Texas. A 56 acre patio home development required preparation of master plan, preliminary and final plats, street and drainage, and water and sewer construction plans and contract documents.
Holleman Drive Rail Crossing, City of College Station, Texas. The connection of an existing urban collector with an urban arterial with a complex rail crossing. Design and plan preparation included horizontal and vertical design, drainage, pavement design, and safety measures for signalization of the adjacent intersection.
College Station Utility Services Center, City of College Station, Tx. Design included a two lane entry roadway with gravel shoulders and included drainage, vertical and horizontal geometry and safety measures for drainage structures and pavement design.
Sandstone Psychiatric Hospital - Complete site planning, analysis and design, including site plan development for City of College Station review, entry drive and pavement design, parking and circulation analysis and design, loading dock, drainage design and report, site grading, and utilities design and report.
Traffic Impact Assessments - WalMart Supercenters, Nacogdoches, Odessa, Stephenville, Weatherford. Efforts included assessment of ingress and egress capacity and safety, need for signalization, driveway spacing, sight distances, separation of movements, ingress or egress restrictions and adjacent roadway capacity and safety.
City of College Station Traffic Safety Study - A study of twelve locations included traffic counts, traffic signal recommendations, four way stop analysis, speed studies, crash history analysis and safety recommendations.
